The Holland varsity softball team traveled to HC for conference play Tuesday afternoon leaving with 2 losses. Sophomore Addyson Hill took the loss in game 1, while freshman Ryleigh Luna took the loss in game 2. Morgan Siffin, Delaney Wilson, and Daisy Byrd each had a hit on the afternoon. "I liked the way we can out swinging in the first game. Smits can really bring it, and I challenged our girls to be aggressive. We were able to put the bat on the ball and have some success against her. Overall, we competed much better today than we have the previous weeks. We are really working hard every day in practice, and we are close to putting things together. Pitching is extremely important to be competitive at this level and our girls are doing a good job working to get to where they need to be", said Coach Hill. The Dutch will host Covenant Christian at home for a non-conference double header Wednesday afternoon. The Dutch dropped to 0-4 in conference play and 0-7 overall.
