The Holland varsity softball team hosted Covenant Christian Wednesday afternoon in a double header but were unable to pick up their first win of the season. Addyson Hill pitched her best game of the year in the loss in game 1. Ryleigh Luna took the loss in game 2. Daisy Byrd, Maggie Telgenhof, and Nevaeh Ramos each added a hit for the Dutch. "We competed today. We pitched well and we made some great defensive plays. The girls are really starting to put everything together. We want to be playing our best softball as we hit the middle part of the season heading into the final stretch. We are trending that way. It's exciting to see our growth and our confidence is high", said coach Hill. The Dutch fall to 0-9 on the season heading into the weekend. The Dutch host their own Invitational at Matt Urban Complex on Saturday.
