Holland Public Schools

The Holland Dutch held a 5-0 lead after 3 innings, but were unable to keep it after the Holland Christian Maroons scored 12 total runs in the forth and fifth innings. The Dutch outhit the Maroons 12-5 on the day, but defensive miscues and free-bases gave the Maroons the upper hand. Sophomore Asher Folkert led the Dutch at the plate, going 3-3 with a HBP, two runs scored, and an RBI. Junior Tanner Kingery was followed that with a 3-4 effort and a run scored. Senior Jacob Torres was 2-4 with a double that scored an run, and also scored two runs of his own. Seniors Gabe Bos and Peyton Lehman each had a double, Robby Wiersma had a single, and Junior Jay Cantu also had a single to round out the Dutch offense. The Dutch fell to 1-8 and 1-8 in the OK Black.
