The Holland Dutch Varsity Tennis team hosted the Holland Quad on Saturday. Battle Creek Lakeview, DeWitt, and Northview all traveled to the Tiger Teusink Courts. The Dutch finished undefeated on the day, defeating DeWitt 5-3, Northview 7-1, and tied the #9 ranked team in the state, Battle Creek Lakeview 4-4. The Dutch finished in first place at all of the doubles flights and runner-up at #1 and #3 singles. In the overall standings, BC Lakeview edged Holland, 18 points to 16. "We are peaking at the perfect time," said Holland coach Kyle Kreps. "Our energy was solid from start to finish and I was pleased with our team's composure when things got tight. To tie a team of BC Lakeview's caliber is a huge confidence booster." Holland is 8-8-1 and will head to Spring Lake on Monday, 5/5.
