On Tuesday night, Holland defeated conference rival Spring Lake 1-0. The game was back-and-forth with both teams pressing and defending. It wasn't until midway through the second half that Andrew Legg put a ricochet into the back of the net for the Dutch. Simon Ozimek earned the shut -out behind the defense of Toby Phillips, Keegin Hulst, Manny Bos, Asher Folkert, Dre Lopez, Jason Phath, and Phil Maatman. "Spring Lake is very aggressive and strong-willed," said Holland soccer coach Greg Ceithaml. "We may not have played our best soccer, but the Lakers were a big reason for that. We are happy with the close win, and we will work to play better on Friday." Holland is now 4-1-2. In JV action, the Holland JV beat Spring Lake 2-0.
